Dixon and Nokia Shook Hands for Manufacturing Smartphones in India | ELE Times

Padget Electronics, a subsidiary of Dixon Technologies, has entered into a partnership to manufacture Nokia smartphones in India for HMD Global.
The company with sheer joy and enthusiasm partnered with HMD Global as manufacturers of Nokia smartphones in India, which is an iconic brand. This partnership will carry forward their vision and stringent industry-leading processes, combined with the expertise in manufacturing. With this, customers in India can expect to have a range of Nokia Smartphones in the near future.

Padget Electronics is one of the five Indian companies which have been approved to receive incentives for incremental production of mobile phone handsets under the Centre’s production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme. It is reported that Dixon has invested Rs 75 crore for setting up its 11th manufacturing plant in Noida, which would be its third dedicated factory for assembling mobile handsets.
